Fuss Beach house
For a beach house on one of Long Island’s barrier islands, Fuss commissioned a three-bedroom house. Ghiora Aharoni Design Studio created an environmentally-sensitive design that responded to the island’s dense vegetation and sweeping vistas. Approaching the Fuss beach house from the west, the visitor encounters largely blank walls that hide the view. Only as the Fuss beach house is entered do the stunning vistas unfold. Each one of the indoor and outdoor spaces frames distinct landscapes: the bay, the dense foliage of the island, and the windswept dunes at the edge of the Atlantic Ocean. Sensitive to environmental concerns, the Fuss beach house is constructed of “green” materials such as Agriboard and wood composite flooring tiles.
